We have developed a large wetland adjacent to and in sympathy with our new Learning Centre. It treats approximately 6 ML of storm water leaving our site with improved quality prior to entering Port Phillip Bay, it greatly increases our site’s biodiversity, providing habitat for both flora and fauna, plants sequester carbon as they grow and it is used as an outdoor classroom for our teaching and learning program.
Our Urban Forest sits on approximately 3,500 m2 of the college grounds and is now three years old. It is a full habitat restoration to pre-European settlement. It too provides habitat, improves our biodiversity, reduces our carbon footprint through sequestration and is another outdoor classroom for our teaching and learning program.
